“Dave come to rehearsal one night and he had an idea for a song. There’s a story behind this song. How many of you ever heard of an Iver Johnson shotgun. An old old Sears and Roebuck style shotgun. Dave’s uncle years and years ago got into a tussle with a man. Long story short there was a little bit of a killing taken place there. Dave wanted to write the song about it but he didn’t want to tell it in a typical fashion. So he decided he wanted to write this song if the gun could talk this is what the gun could say. And me and him and Doug sat down and wrote this one day.” Scott Tackett
